We are seeking an adept VAVE Project Manager with a proven track record in project management, capable of leading multiple concurrent projects seamlessly. Responsibilities:
* Lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects aimed at identifying cost-saving opportunities across product lines while maintaining or enhancing product quality.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, regulatory, manufacturing, and quality to identify, prioritize, and execute VAVE initiatives.
* Utilize project management best practices to develop comprehensive project plans, establish timelines, allocate resources, and track progress towards cost-saving targets.
* Conduct thorough analyses of product designs, manufacturing processes, and supply chain operations to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
* Drive continuous improvement efforts by implementing lean methodologies, process optimizations to achieve cost reduction targets.
* Partner with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials, components, and manufacturing processes that offer cost savings without compromising product quality or performance.
* Lead value engineering workshops and brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for cost reduction and process optimization.
* Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to quantify cost savings, track project ROI, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to support the successful execution of VAVE projects.
* Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to senior management, providing regular updates and recommendations for course corrections as needed.
* Effectively use Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools and processes, such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Daily Management, Problem Solving and Kaizen, to accelerate product delivery to the marketplace.
* Exhibit and lead on the “Fortive 9” set of core behaviors: Customer-obsessed, Adaptable, Delivers Results, Strategic, Leads with FBS, Innovates for Impact, Inspires, Exhibits Courage, and Builds Extraordinary Teams.
Our Needs:
* Bachelor's Degree in technical or technology related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on cost reduction initiatives. PMP preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of related professional experience with process improvement, metrics and project management leveraging continuous improvement tools and processes.
* Experience delivering design and non-design changes in a regulated field. Medical device industry experience preferred.
* Strong financial acumen with experience in cost analysis, budget management, and ROI evaluation.
* Proven track record of successfully leading Engineering/Technical projects to deliver on objectives. VAVE/cost reduction experience preferred.
* Demonstrated success in the management of complex projects in Engineering/Technical field.
* Track record of leading others to pursue challenging goals and to challenge the status quo to develop breakthrough solutions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
* Familiarity with lean methodologies, value engineering principles, and supplier management practices.
* The ability to set high standards for results (refuse to fail demeanor), and once achieved, raises the standards even higher. Holds people accountable for meeting commitments and getting results.
