Job summary The Wellcome Practice is looking for two enthusiastic Receptionists with excellent interpersonal, customer service and organisational skills to join our reception team. Main duties of the job Applicants will need to work both on a busy reception desk dealing with patients over the telephone and face to face, booking and cancelling appointments, guiding patients to use the online consultation tool and also work at the back of reception performing administration tasks, dealing with prescription requests and assisting the triaging doctor with online consultations. Previous reception and/or customer service skills and knowledge of Emis Web are desirable, but full training will be given. Taking messages and passing on information Completing admin tasks sent to the reception team Dealing with prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter Confidentiality In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters.
