Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, electrical installations, and commercial kitchen equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, ensuring all plant and equipment operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities

Operation and maintenance of heating and ventilation (H&V) plant, including pumps, motors, and actuators.

Conduct daily boiler room and plant checks.
*
Maintain and repair commercial kitchen plant and equipment.
*
Perform works on low-voltage (LV) electrical installations, including installation, fault finding, and general maintenance.
*
Undertake scheduled installations and maintenance tasks.
*
Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs or replacements of equipment.
*
Manage stock and supplies, sourcing materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
*
Oversee contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
*
Provide technical support to colleagues and assist other staff members when required.
*
Maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
*
Ensure that all work is completed to the highest professional standards.
*
Maintain confidentiality and uphold a professional approach in all duties.
*
Liaise regularly with managers, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
*
Deliver a highly customer-focused service to both the company and clients.
*
Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
*
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding health and safety.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience:
*
BEng or Level 2 Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering.
*
Recognised City & Guilds (C&G) or NVQ qualifications.
*
Knowledge of current Building Regulations.
*
Understanding of Health & Safety standards.
*
Experience in building or facilities maintenance.
*
Proven technical expertise and troubleshooting skills.
*
Full, clean UK driving licence
