We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated software engineer to join our dynamic team. As a software engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining modern cloud native applications and services. You will be given the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to help us build our next generation of scalable, highly-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to gather and analyse requirements, and translate them into working technical solutions
2. Be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of modern cloud native web applications and APIs
3. Demonstrate a high level of software craftsmanship, commitment to quality, and a conscientious approach to work
4. Utilise modern design principles and best practices to produce, clean, secure and maintainable code
5. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of source control tools such as Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps, as well as the concepts of Branching, Merging and Pull Requests
6. Be comfortable working with databases, including PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server, to help develop highly efficient and scalable data storage solutions
7. Have a DevOps mindset, and actively participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes
8. Conduct comprehensive testing, and be comfortable with the concepts of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, to ensure first class software quality and reliability
9. Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to cloud native development
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
1. Strong proficiency in C#, NuGet and XUnit
2. .NET Core and ASP.NET Core
3. Visual Studio and VS Code
4. Source Control (using Git, GitHub and Azure DevOps)
5. Databases and data storage (using PostgreSQL, MS SQL and Redis)
6. Containerization (using Docker)
7. Experience in developing cloud native web applications and APIs
8. Familiarity with microservices architecture and design patterns
9. Good understanding of cloud computing concepts and cloud-native development principles
10. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
11. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
13. Continuous learning mindset and a passion for technology
Beneficial Skills:
1. Knowledge of HTML/CSS
2. Understanding of Azure or other popular Cloud provider
