Brook Street Recruitment is working with our County Antrim client who are looking to recruit a new full time and permanent Business Development Manager for field sales position.
Duties
1. Manage and organise sales activities for sales development.
2. Handle all inbound and outbound sales matters and customer enquiries
3. Increase new business and maintain existing customers.
4. Follow up on all sales leads, ensuring they are answered and immediate action is taken.
5. Handle all routing orders promptly and ensure they are presented to the customer immediately. Keep the R/O originator well-informed of the status.
6. Ensure all RFQ (request for quotation), bids and tenders are replied to within the time specified.
7. Generated quality sales leads and have them followed up regularly.
8. Update the selling tariff to ensure margins are protected as instructed.
9. Hold regular meetings with the sales team for market information and exchange of selling skills.
10. Arrange joint calls and customer visits with sales, operation, management personnel, as well as the overseas counterparts.
11. Maintain up-to-date customer profiles.
12. Provide monthly report on all import business development and related market intelligence.
13. Perform any special duties or projects as assigned by the management
Requirements
14. Minimum 3-5 year's sales experience in foreign freight forwarding / haulage company
15. Full drivers licence
16. Fluent in written and spoken English
17. Knowledge of International Trade and relevant Laws, Regulations, Process and Procedures
Salary will depend on experience - £45-50k plus benefits
