We are now seeking an experienced and driven Dealer Principal to lead our Swansea branch following the well-earned retirement of our current Dealer Principal, who has been a valued member of our team for over twelve years. Role Overview: As Dealer Principal, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the dealership. This includes overseeing sales, aftersales, parts, customer service, finance, and personnel functions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the dealership's strategic direction and day-to-day operations, ensuring both commercial success and outstanding customer satisfaction.Working closely with the senior site team, you will lead from the front—driving performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture. Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Inspire and guide the dealership team while upholding the Group’s values and culture. Sales Management: Lead the new and used car sales departments to achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer engagement. Aftersales & Service: Support the aftersales teams to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. Customer Experience: Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring that every customer interaction exceeds expectations. Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage all key financial metrics, including daily performance tracking, forecasting, and KPI reporting. Marketing: Collaborate with the Operations Director to shape and implement effective, localised marketing strategies. Stock Management: Manage vehicle stock levels and age profiles in line with customer demand and company policy. Team Development: Recruit, develop, and retain talented team members while maintaining high levels of staff engagement and performance. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Key Requirements: Proven track record in automotive retail management, ideally within a franchised dealership. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Strong commercial acumen and experience managing P&L, budgets, and performance metrics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
