Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be primarily providing Dental Hygienist Treatment in line with scope of practice, oralhygiene instruction & education, administration, plus working towardsimproving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness ofentitled personnel.
The successful candidate will be providing clinical and administrativesupport for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare(DPHC) Dental (D) to enhance force generation and operational capabilityand minimise dental morbidity on operations.

Job responsibilities
Ensuring your surgery is prepared appropriately for the days patients inaccordance with current regulations.
Carrying out and recording daily maintenance, servicing and pre-usechecks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with currentequipment care policies.
Carrying out dental work under the direction of a registered dentist whohas examined the patient and indicated in writing the course of treatmentto be provided. This is in accordance with the Dental Auxiliary Regulations1986, as amended by the Dental Auxiliaries (amended) Regulations 1991.
Ensuring that all periodontal patients and patients in other risk categories, caries are recalled appropriately for review or at the next PeriodicDental Inspection appointments.
