It is responsible for planning production outside of the scheduling fixed window across the 6 UK sites, providing the site schedulers the visibility of what is required to meet inventory policies and service objectives. Providing Capacity information, ensuring NPD and new formats are visible, the role involves liaising with internal customers to maximise service performance. It also manages stakeholder communication to address conflicts and capacity constraints, minimising financial and service impacts. Responsibilities include: Execute planning processes to meet customer service levels, optimise efficiency, and manage working capital limits. Coach the team to manage capacity, reduce labour costs, and maintain service levels. Manage KPIs and inventory policies to boost profitability and reduce finished goods working capital. Lead working capital reduction efforts, collaborating with finance, operations, and commercial teams. Align demand and supply plans with Customer Relationship and Demand Planning Managers, addressing issues and driving resolution. Mitigate stock risks due to forecast changes or obsolescence. Manage team development and well being of the team through effective one to one, coaching and mentoring. The ideal candidate for the Planning Manager role will have: Demonstrable supply chain experience, together with significant exposure, gained ideally in a fast-moving consumer goods environment. Experience of managing a team within Food & Beverages, either a current Planning Manager, MRP Manager or Forecast & Demand Manager. Multi-site experience or experience for a large site with multiple production lines. SAP experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
