Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) Salary: Circa £40K Dependant on experience. Working Hours: 40 hours per week – 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. 1 hour - Unpaid Lunch Break. We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias), based in Stockport. As our Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will report directly to the Production Manager, in what will be a “hands” on pro-active role. You will be responsible for all aspects of Electrical repairs and maintenance of a wide and varied range of machinery including Fabric inspection & packing, Fabric cutting machines, Stenter Ovens & associated peripherals (Unwinders, Coating heads, Pleva weight monitoring & rewind), Fabric pleating, Lamination machines, Liquor mixing plant etc. The role will also involve electrical installation work throughout the site on things such as armored cable to feed new machinery and equipment, lighting, and power installations throughout the plant as well as Completing PPM activities of factory services and equipment and supporting new installations of plant and other equipment. You will have a proven track record in a similar role with an extensive Electrical understanding and ideally some basic mechanical ability, you will also be able to identify potential issues and advise on corrective course of measures. Qualifications/skills: Ideally you will be apprentice trained or equivalent, hold at least NVQ level 3 qualification in electrical maintenance or installation, have good fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret schematic drawings. 18th edition wiring regulations BS 7671. Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment is preferred.
