Attendance and Communications Coordinator
Location: Cheltenham, UK
Salary: £12.00 - £12.50 per hour
Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: 6-week contract starting in November
We are seeking a proactive and communicative Attendance and Communications Coordinator to join our busy school office in Cheltenham. This role is well-suited for someone with strong organisational skills and experience in a school environment who can handle multiple tasks while maintaining effective communication with students, staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Track and record daily student attendance, ensuring accurate data entry and prompt follow-ups on absences.
* Contact parents/guardians to address attendance issues, responding to queries and providing clear information.
* Coordinate with teachers and school staff to organise cover for absent colleagues, ensuring classes run smoothly.
* Generate attendance reports for senior staff, highlighting patterns and key data points.
* Serve as a key point of communication between students, teachers, and external contacts to manage schedules and administrative needs.
* Support general office administration tasks as required, maintaining a well-organised and efficient working environment.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a school setting or similar administrative role is preferred.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a confident and clear approach to liaising with parents and staff.
* Excellent organisational abilities, capable of multitasking and prioritising in a busy setting.
* Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
* Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with sensitivity.
