Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Client-Side)

Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 per annum

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs on client-side projects, providing expert advice on all cost-related matters, and ensuring value for money throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to work on exciting and varied projects while further developing their career in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception through to completion.
2. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates and budgets.
3. Undertake cost planning and value engineering exercises to ensure cost-effective solutions.
4. Monitor and manage project costs and ensure projects remain within budget.
5. Review and negotiate contractor bids and subcontractor agreements.
6. Conduct regular cost reporting and forecasting to clients and internal teams.
7. Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration.
8. Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants.
9. Provide advice on cost control, contractual obligations, and procurement strategies.
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and best practices.
Key Requirements
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is desirable but not essential.
3. Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in a client-side role.
4. Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management processes.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
8. Experience with cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
