About The Team
The Strategic Transport team is seeking a dynamic and creative communications officer. You will develop and execute communication strategies for transport projects, create engaging content to promote transport initiatives, and work with communities on project delivery.
Your office base will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, conveniently located between Bath and Bristol, accessible by car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away. The role involves site visits and travel. We offer flexible working arrangements, including home working, with IT equipment provided.
About The Role
Your primary responsibility is to deliver communications and engagement plans for our City Region Sustainable Transport Settlements (CRSTS) projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with strong content creation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with experience in community engagement and public outreach. Building relationships with stakeholders, including residents, suppliers, and colleagues across the council, is key. Knowledge of transport and sustainability issues is a plus.
