We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Nursery Assistant to join a vibrant and nurturing educational setting in Thornbury. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and care to children with SEND/SEMH needs in a nurturing nursery environment.
2. Assist with planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
3. Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement individual learning plans tailored to each child's needs.
4. Encourage social interaction and emotional growth through positive reinforcement and structured activities.
5. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
6. Support children with personal care needs where necessary, maintaining dignity and respect.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
2. A patient, caring, and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
3. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
4. Relevant childcare qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
5. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
