WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Leeds
About this opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Financial Performance & Analysis (FP&A) team within Group Corporate Treasury! Specifically, the role involves the coordination of GCT’s input into groupwide planning and stress testing activities and messaging of the key results to senior management. As such, the successful candidate will have proven ability to work with a team to clearly communicate with senior stakeholders both within and outside of their own division.
The Financial Performance and Analysis team’s primary function is to provide insightful and value-add financial information to the GCT business and wider Group stakeholders to support decision-making and the delivery of strategic aims.
Some of the key activities that you will be involved in are:
* Co-ordinate GCT’s input into Group wide planning and stress testing activities – including the creation of latest view forecasts where required.
* Clearly communicate the results of the planning and stress testing exercise to stakeholders across the Group.
* Oversee the coordination of both reporting and planning for the LBG Investment business.
* Manage relationships with key internal customers and suppliers, delivering a high-quality output.
* Ensure that appropriate controls are in place to ensure that the financial results are robust.
* Lead a team of 4 ensuring development frameworks in place, while informally coaching and mentoring others throughout the organisation and investing in own personal development.
What you’ll need
* A qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience.
* Understanding of the purpose of a Group Treasury function within a bank.
* Strong team leader with proven ability to motivate, guide and support a team of finance professionals to achieve team and personal goals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an understandable manner to a wide range of partners, often those at senior levels.
* Highly analytical and able to draw out key messages to support and influence decision making.
* Willingness to proactively work with other areas of finance and the business to resolve issues.
* A change mind-set - keen to challenge and make continual improvements to our ways of working.
