Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Clinical Matron to work within the DOPMH service. This post will support Garner ward the dementia assessment and treatment ward, Dementia and Older People's Mental Health liaison service and the Countywide Dementia liaison service. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based clinical care, operational efficiency, and service excellence, while fostering collaborative working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, system partners, southwest provider collaborative and commissioners. Reporting to the Head of Service for DOPMH, the Clinical Matron has direct line management responsibility for managers within the inpatient and liaison services. They will deliver visible, accessible, and authoritative leadership across inpatient and liaison services. They will lead on service development, cultivating a philosophy of care that is grounded in best practice and evidence, and ensuring continuous improvement and innovation whilst delivering the NHS matron Charter. The Clinical Matron actively involves patients and carers in the design, delivery, and evaluation of services to maintain relevance and responsiveness to their needs.
