This specialist SEMH school in North Birmingham is looking for a QTS Maths Teacher to join their team and help students develop their numeracy skills and overcome academic barriers.

Job Role:
1. Teaching Maths up to GCSE level to small groups of students with SEMH needs.
2. Planning and delivering lessons that are accessible, engaging, and tailored to individual learning needs.
3. Working as part of a dedicated team to support students academically and emotionally.
4. Managing classroom behaviours effectively using a range of de-escalation techniques.
5. Helping students to build confidence in Maths and develop essential problem-solving skills.

Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level, ideally within an SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision setting.
3. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage students who require additional support.
4. A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to teaching.
5. A valid DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
