Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer.
Durations – 6 Months
Start Date – ASAP
Contract - Limited Company.
Job Description
The successful SQA Engineer will represent the OEM at the Tier 1 supplier site, working with the Tier & OEM Plant to ensure that the quality of products received by the OEM are to the required standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure issues reported by the OEM plant team (Incoming Quality Concerns) are being contained by the Tier 1 supplier
* Work with the Tier 1 supplier to drive both containment & countermeasure actions to implementation
* Drive the improvement plan actions into the Tier 1 supplier - hands on where required
* Identify and implement process improvements identified by either yourself, the OEM or the Tier 1 supplier
* Utilise APQP and PPAP techniques & skills in your toolbox
* Drive, track and run problem resolution teams to permanently close issues, utilising 8D approach & reporting
* Support the required cadence set out to drive the improvements and escalate any concerns
* Reporting - lead & maintain the improvement plan in place to ensure issues are closed within the agreed time frames
* Represent the OEM on the Tier 1 site in a professional & collaborative manner
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
* Exceptional interpersonal skills; confident liaising with customers as well as suppliers.
* Excellent problem-solving skills across 8D, 5 Whys and fish-bone analysis
* Comprehensive understanding of containment action - D3
* Competent with Root Cause Analysis and corrective action procedures - D8
* Versatile with variety of processes and procedures
* Strong STA/SPQ/SQA Experience
* Experience of working with Tier 1 and or OEM on quality improvement activities / NPI
* APQP, PPAP, FMEA competent / experience
* Sound data analysis skills
Applications are welcomed from individuals with previous experience within the automotive industry. In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly pay rate of £30.00 to £34.00 per hour.
A full UK Driving license and your own vehicle are essential
