The Team
Our Real Estate group is one of the largest real estate teams in the UK, advising an impressive range of clients including commercial and residential developers, investors, major corporate occupiers and banks/funders. Offering exceptional market knowledge the team holds an outstanding reputation with clients and the market generally. “Clients are full of admiration for this team, noting it combines outstanding technical expertise with a “very” responsive service” (Chambers).
The Role
We seek an additional commercial real estate associate to join our thriving and supportive Scottish team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow (travel between offices will be expected).
Our Real Estate division is at the forefront of the firm’s strategic growth where you'll be exposed to a great variety of commercial property and real estate finance matters. Our Scottish real estate team is market leading with an enviable list of premium clients. You will be as passionate as we are when it comes to all things property law and will be skilled in acquisitions and disposals and landlord and tenant matters, and ideally some experience in real estate finance. General commercial property lawyers are encouraged to apply and there is opportunity to develop specialism in the medium term. This is an exciting time to be joining Shoosmiths and you will be a key individual in the continued development of our brand in Scotland and across the UK.
You will be working with people who thrive on being pro-active, bringing energy and ideas to make a real difference to clients. You will be expected to make things happen and take initiative from day one. If you join us, we will give you the support to build your career and boost your skills.
Equal Opportunities
Our approach to our people is underpinned by our approach to diversity, inclusion and well-being. Our ambition is to build a diverse and ambitious workforce that reflects all backgrounds and talents, and a workplace that is supportive and inclusive, recognises and nurtures talent, and has a strong sense of community between colleagues.
This means that everyone who either applies to or works for the firm is treated equally, whatever their gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
