Salary:
Grade D: Starting salary is £31,190 per annum. The band goes up to £34,532 per annum, however, this is dependent on annual performance reviews.
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday) hours vary between 8am-4pm and 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. May include additional hours and occasional anti-social working including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage our ‘drop in’ service in central Gateshead to support those experiencing or at risk of homelessness. To lead and empower a team of people to deliver a creative and adaptive service to those who need it most.
We have been supporting people in Gateshead for 14 years and are looking for someone to lead and develop this service, ensuring the work is trauma-informed, person-centred, and provides tailored support to each person who accesses the service.
To work alongside partner services and our own provision to deliver a high standard of opportunity to support a wide variety of people facing multiple and varied challenges.
The project will meet the practical needs of those sleeping rough whilst offering brief intervention, information, advice, and guidance to those in housing need. A large function of the service will be to gather professionals from partner agencies and services around the individuals who will access the provision. The role requires ambition and drive to ensure the ongoing development of the service. This role will involve managing the building for staff and services, ensuring all health and safety practices are upheld and liaising with colleagues around any maintenance requirements.
