A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and supportive Mental Health Social Care Teams and provide operational leadership in the Derby Wellbeing offer – Integrated Community Mental Health Service in Derby City.
We are looking to appoint a Qualified and Experienced Social Work Practitioner with:
* Sound assessment skills
* A demonstrable commitment to placing customers and carers at the heart of assessment and support planning
* Experience of working with adults with severe mental ill health
* Experience of multidisciplinary working within a statutory framework
This is a new post designed to improve collaboration at system level and improve working practices in relation to access to timely Mental Health Support with a recovery and preventive approach. You will be expected to provide high quality supervision to other social workers and Enablement Workers and champion strengths and assets based practice. You will be an integral part of multi-disciplinary working, as well as leading on practice development in collaboration with NHS and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector partners.
This post is a designated Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Post. Therefore, you will need to hold an existing AMHP or BIA qualification.
About You
We welcome applications from Experienced social workers looking for a career in Mental Health Social Care Services. You will be required to be a car driver with your own transport available. Reasonable adjustments will be made for applicants under the Equalities Act 2010.
Applicants must already hold a recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
