Position Overview
Fully responsible for aftermarket sales in the specified region and selected customer / buying group. Develop and implement sales strategies that provide solutions based on customer needs, demonstrating problem-solving and negotiation skills. Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing accounts. Foster strong relationships with customers, adhering to MAHLE processes and practices. Act as the sales champion for the designated product group(s).
Duties
1. Manage the assigned customer accounts and/or buying groups.
2. Achieve and surpass sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Understand key client needs and develop tailored solutions.
4. Negotiate with clients and meet deadlines aligned with their long-term goals.
5. Support account development, provide feedback on opportunities and risks, and build relationships at all levels.
6. Prepare reports on account progress, sales forecasts, and goals.
7. Participate in pricing strategies and commercial activities.
8. Analyze market trends, market share, and competitors, especially related to MAHLE products.
9. Maintain strong technical knowledge of all MAHLE products.
10. Act as the business manager for your customer and product categories, focusing on sales, profitability, quality, and operational costs.
11. Prioritize customer requirements and align them with company strategies and goals.
12. Monitor market activities and respond proactively to competitors.
13. Provide ongoing technical support, training, and advice to customers.
14. Promote product range extensions and provide market intelligence at detailed levels.
15. Keep management informed of market trends and issues.
16. Collaborate with Finance on payment recovery processes.
17. Coordinate garage work-outs to enhance the MAHLE product portfolio.
18. Drive growth, retain existing accounts, acquire new customers, and expand market share.
19. Manage stock activities, including stock cleansing and maintaining accurate stock profiles.
20. Distribute up-to-date product information, promotional materials, and technical literature.
21. Handle customer complaints and product quality issues, coordinating with head office to resolve issues satisfactorily.
22. Plan routes and visits efficiently to optimize costs and value.
23. Document visits, follow up on actions, and maximize visit productivity.
24. Regularly report on sales performance, targets, recovery plans, and new opportunities.
25. Initiate marketing and promotional activities to support customer engagement and product groups.

Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs (A-C) including Math and English (desirable)
* Technical qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology; Degree in Engineering (desirable)

* Experience creating monitoring and milestone documents
* Background in the Automotive Aftermarket
* Experience in technical sales
* Ability to work across multiple product lines
