The Warehouse Team Manager will support the site management team in the efficient and cost effective management of the warehouse operation.
It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the daily Warehouse operation and enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.
Managing a team of warehouse operatives, excellent communication skills and coaching colleagues is a key part of the role.
* Ensuring the receiving, storing, picking and dispatch of Goods in the correct manner to agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints
* Maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.
* Welfare of colleagues through effective coaching ,absence management, probation reviews etc.
* To be successful in this role you’ll have working knowledge of the Warehouse function (essential)
* Knowledge within the FMCG distribution industry (desirable)
* Working knowledge of the business and operational aspects of supervising a Distribution Centre Warehouse operation (essential).
* General knowledge of the Transport function (desirable)
* As you will be leading a team of warehouse operatives, you’ll have a proven track record of excellent communication skills and have the ability to manage & train colleagues (essential).
* Your computer skills will be important too as you will be using the MS Office suite on a daily basis for reporting and managing people processes (essential).
