We are looking for a Cluster Sales Manager for our UK and BeNeLux cluster, who will plan, direct, and monitor the activities of a sales team within a specified geography, product line, market segment, or list of accounts to identify business opportunities and secure achievement of established sales targets according to defined sales processes and strategy. You will be reporting to the Cluster General Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Lead, direct and develop the respective sales organization in terms of its structure, people, and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness.
2. Coach team members on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.
3. Translate local business plans into sales plans, activities, and campaigns and manage the day-to-day activities of a sales team.
4. Negotiate sales with existing and new customers who are of strategic importance to the organization.
5. Contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution plans/strategies for the area of responsibility.
6. Generate knowledge on market development/customer needs and competitor activities and distribute to internal stakeholders.
7. Lead regional development, manage strategies and activities, and translate them into accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual projections.
Your responsibilities:
1. Lead, manage and define account plans and sales targets.
2. Define strategic targeting plans.
3. Monitor national sales performance; guide and coach the team accordingly to ensure delivery of regional and local account plans and sales targets.
4. Ensure sales tools are used effectively, including CRM and business intelligence systems.
5. Ensure the sales structure is defined & effective to meet the business objectives.
6. Monitor progress against local objectives and targets.
7. Pricing proposals for all contract negotiations.
8. Assessment of performance and developmental needs of the sales team.
Manage national top accounts (public or private):
1. Develop strategic plans for engaging with procurement and large national accounts and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
2. Manage national contracts through collaboration with sales operations analyst.
3. Create and maintain networks with KOLs necessary for the success of the business.
4. Provide forecasting input to General Manager and Commercial Operations for the monthly and quarterly forecast process.
5. Support the General Manager in defining the commercial strategy to deliver sales targets.
6. Active participation in defining pricing strategy for tender submissions.
Your profile:
Education:
1. (Preferable) Life Sciences related degree (medical, scientific, pharmaceutical).
2. (Additional) Business Administration degree a strong plus.
Experience:
1. Minimum of five years national or regional sales manager experience within MedTech, preferably radiology.
2. Minimum of five years team management experience.
3. Thorough understanding of national/local health care systems.
4. Proven negotiation experience in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
5. Demonstrated interpersonal & communication skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
1. Good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2. Valid driving license.
3. Negotiation skills.
