What you’ll do:
* Lead & manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage and lead a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources for bids.
* Ensure effective resource utilization to maximize business opportunities.
* Oversee the end-to-end management and production of high-quality, successful bids following telent’s procedures.
* Improve bid quality through best practice approaches.
* Monitor bid costs and seek continuous improvement in bid return on investment.
* Develop relationships with existing and potential customers through meetings and presentations.
* Manage Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Develop bid strategies, produce bid materials, support post-bid reviews, and maintain the Bid library.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs, and report on win/loss rates.
* Conduct bid reviews and recommend improvements.

Key requirements:
* Extensive experience managing and leading a high-performing Bid Team.
* Proven success in leading and winning bids in sectors like Traffic, Rail, Telecoms, and Defense.
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* Financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial reports and models.
* Broad understanding of relevant products, technologies, and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with demonstrated bid success.
* Excellent bid writing skills, including answering tender questions and financial responses.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills.
* Leadership skills with experience building successful bid teams.
* Ability to develop simple solutions to complex challenges.
* Excellent communication, persuasion, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
* Ability to identify customer needs and develop commercial propositions.
* Ownership, accountability, and a proactive attitude.
* Independent working style with strong relationship skills.
* High emotional intelligence and pride in work quality.
