What you’ll be doing
as a Charges Coordinator
The purpose of this role is to liaise with Highway Authorities to respond to invoices and charges received under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA). The role involves processing a high volume of charges, which requires specialist training on Thames Water corporate systems and an in-depth knowledge of the relevant TMA legislation.
This role is required to ensure accurate and timely processing of charges in order to maintain good relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
1. Mitigate charges paid to reduce Thames Water and Contractor liability through investigation/validation of charges using Thames Water systems
2. Identify areas of concern within business units and/or contractors in order to mitigate avoidable costs
3. Using effective negotiations with third parties, ensure that Thames Water receive, and pay for, only valid charges
What you should bring to the role
4. Great attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
5. Previous office administrative experience
6. A strong attention to detail
7. Previous customer service experience
8. Fully proficient at using IT systems ie Microsoft office & be able to adapt to using new software quickly
9. Be a team player and support co-workers
10. Able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment to meet project timescales

11. Salary of £26,000 per annum depending on skills and previous relevant experience.
12. 24 days holiday per year increasing to 28 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
13. Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution
