Team Motivation: Inspire, motivate, and manage a team of deputy managers and residential care staff, ensuring regulatory staffing levels and effective coverage at all times.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Professional Development: Provide regular supervision and performance reviews to create a motivated, skilled, and qualified workforce, compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Safe Environment: Ensure a safe and positive environment by adhering to safeguarding, safer recruitment, and health and safety policies.
Compliance: Maintain all legal and statutory records in line with regulatory requirements through effective systems and processes.
Budget Management: Manage a delegated budget, ensuring effective and efficient expenditure in line with regulatory and financial requirements.
Partnerships: Develop effective relationships and communication channels with colleagues, local authorities, partner agencies, and other external organisations, participating in multi-agency meetings as appropriate.
Service Review: Work with the Responsible Individual to continuously improve service provision, drive innovation, and support business development.
Adaptability: Operate effectively within a constantly changing environment, adjusting work priorities and targets as needed.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - REGISTERED MANAGER
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
Demonstrate commitment to obtain a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care
Currently working towards the Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care
Knowledge and Experience
Significant experience of working within a Children’s Home.
Must have demonstrable knowledge of and commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Previous experience and knowledge of the Ofsted Regulatory Framework for Children’s Homes
Minimum of three years’ experience at a senior level within a social care/health field.
Previous experience of setting up an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home.
Experience of managing budgets

Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
Ability to work as a team, working closely
Ability to develop and encourage professional growth in others.
An understanding of budgetary management.
Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
Sound knowledge of Children’s Homes procedures and relevant issues.
Ability to exercise authority.
Proven leadership and management abilities.
Excellent communication skills – both verbally and written.
Proven experience in liaising with Ofsted in regard to Children Home’s inspections
