About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team. You will play a key role in managing financial accounting, working capital, and capital reporting for the University. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
* Preparing the Financial Statements and liaising with external auditors
* Cash management, cash flow forecasting, and treasury operations
* Contributing to quarterly management accounts for senior University oversight groups.
This is a full time, fixed term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Interviews are expected to take place on Tuesday 4th March 2025.
To succeed in this role, you will:
* Be CCAB part-qualified or equivalent and be able to demonstrate significant experience working in a role within a complex organisation
* Have hands-on experience in financial statement preparation, external audit processes, and cash flow forecasting
* Be confident in month- and year-end processes and maintaining strong internal financial controls
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* Have strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
