We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and dynamic senior radiographer whose role will develop their skills in IR and Neurosciences Imaging, whilst maintaining their x-ray and CT experience. This exciting opportunity will be perfect for a suitably qualified radiographer who is committed to providing and maintaining a very high standard of patient care and imaging outcomes.
Main duties of the job
The Neuro-Interventional and Interventional Radiology departments have benefitted from the introduction of new state of the art Philips Azurion 7 systems within an environment which has been designed to offer the best in delivering an interventional service which optimises staff and patients' experience.
This exciting new opportunity would suit radiographers who currently have experience of working in an imaging department at a senior level and wish to continue with acute x-ray and full CT rotation, whilst offering additional dedication to develop their career in the fields of Neurosciences Imaging and Interventional Radiology. This position offers the chance to be an integral part of our thriving neuro-imaging and interventional imaging teams and work closely with like-minded radiographers, radiologists and specialist nurses to support a dynamic and effective service.

Job responsibilities
* The radiographer will be expected to work in all areas of Acute Imaging and CT on the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) site.
* The radiographer will need to be able to undertake a wide range of clinical duties to provide a high-quality imaging service and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, encouraging and supporting colleagues to also do so.
* The radiographer will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the specialities of Neurosciences Imaging and Interventional Radiology.
* To ensure the department delivers an exemplary service and experience to patients and members of the public.
* To ensure departmental adherence to Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) 2017 and Ionising Radiation Regulations (IRR) 2017, and the Trust's policies, protocols and guidelines.
* Actively participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, including the supervision of newly qualified and junior members of staff, assistant practitioners and student Radiographers.
Person Specification
Training, HCPC registration and NHS experience
* HCPC registration
* Previous NHS experience
* Experience in trauma and A&E plain film radiography
* Experience in general radiography including plain film, mobile, theatres and fluoroscopy
