Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for creating a high performing culture of continuous improvement to advance productivity and to increase efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinates teams of Wire Workers effectively and efficiently to meet production targets
* Driving toolbox and information sessions for your shifts
* Overseeing and coordinating the execution of department production activities with other functions to decrease unscheduled down time
* Lead safety initiatives and ensure a risk assessment approach to safety is maintained
* Identify reasons for variance and determine actions to deliver the weekly production plan
* Monthly review meeting, reviewing department operational performance for the previous month and approving actions required to achieve EOY targets
* Leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports to deliver on plan and build a high performing team
You will have proven experience leading a team and can collaborate, build productive relationships and take accountability of your team. You will be able to work effectively with a diverse range of people and be able to build capability through coaching and mentoring. You will also have:
* Hands-on experience in a production environment
* Experience in a unionised workplace
* Experience in Lean and Advanced manufacturing systems
* Trade or Post Graduate qualifications in Engineering, Sciences or Business preferable
* Certificate IV – Leadership and Management (Frontline Leadership) or equivalent - ideal
* Demonstrated experience in high level decision-making that directly impacts an operation
* Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills
