Role Purpose: To oversee the works carried out by the Jointing and engineering teams and hold direct responsibility for ensuring that all electricity networks are installed in a safe and professional manner, to a high standard and in line with Sinewave Method Statements.
Requirements
* Carry out audits and inspection of the workplace, tools, equipment and company vehicles
* Carry out network operations under instruction
* Carry out fault work on networks as required
* Responsible for the operational management of HV and LV installations
* Prepare switching programmes for approval by another SAP Engineer
* Assist other SAPs in carrying out network switching operations
* Lead testing and commissioning of HV/LV distribution systems
* Undertake site specific risk assessments and create RAMS
* Manage project budgets to assure efficiency and appropriate resource allocation
* Plan and co-ordinate projects
* Assess potentially hazardous and dangerous situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the general public
* Issue and cancel safety documents
* Understand local network anomalies and ensure correct phase rotation
* Produce reports for work undertaken
* Manage direct reports covering all managerial tasks including, but not limited to, performance reviews, authorising expenses, holidays and equipment requests and upskilling
* Manage and supervise all site personnel
* Assist in the training and development of Sinewave personnel wishing to become an LV AP or HV AP
* Ensure personnel under your control fully understand and adhere to their job requirements

* Proficient in the use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.
* Excellent communication, including ability to adapt communication styles and outstanding listening skills with ability to follow verbal and written instructions
* Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to use own initiative as well as work collaboratively as part of a team
* Good understanding of manipulating data and creating reports
* Excellent customer support skills
* Ability to control budgets in consideration of commercial awareness and confidence to create and present expenditure reports to the SLT
You'll be a successful Senior Project Engineer if you have:
*Overseas equivalents are also accepted. Practical application will be considered in line with any qualifications obtained*
* Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points)
* CSCS card or affiliated
* HNC qualification in a related field or equivalent experience
* Sanction for test at DNO or ICP level
* Emergency First Aid at Work
* Experience in leading a team
* Excellent understanding of project management with experience in being part of a project team
* Experience in working with an IDNO or DNO up to and including 33kV

Requirements
When you join you will go through our top-notch induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through our in house training academy. You'll have a proven track record of: Assessing potentially hazardous and dangerous situations, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the public. Undertaking site specific risk assessments and creating RAMS, and competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents. Ensuring personnel and your wider team understand duties under safety documents. Carrying out network operations under instruction from the Network Control Engineer. Understanding the local network anomalies and ensuring correct phase rotation. You'll already have experience & qualifications in: Currently hold (or have held) authorisations up to 33kV including permit to work (accepting 11KV with extensive experience). CSCS (affiliated). The use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc. Full UK driving license (Maximum of 3 points).
