Our highly motivated and talented Pathology team at our Wessex Hospital will appreciate your 'can do' attitude as you deliver quality pathology services and take a share of covering an on-call service out of hours. You'll enjoy a varied range of responsibilities - from performing biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation and reporting, through to quality control and keeping records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables. You'll also help us to validate and assess new equipment and develop new diagnostic procedures.
As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will:
* Deliver high-quality pathology services.
* Complete your share of covering the out-of-hours on-call service.
* Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and quality control.
* Keep records of specimens, results, reagents and consumables.
* Support the validation and assessment of new equipment and new diagnostic procedures.
* Help ensure we deliver the very best experience for patients.
Minimum Requirements:
It is essential you're registered with the HCPC and have at least 4 years laboratory experience in Biochemistry, Haematology and Blood Transfusion. You'll bring to the role good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of multi-disciplinary techniques. A great communicator and team player, preferably having been in charge of a team. You understand how vital it is to maintain good customer relationships and provide high levels of service in a modern pathology laboratory.
