We are looking for a
enthusiastic team-player to join the training programme in the role of Computational Biology Researcher / Trainer. This unique position provides the opportunity to play a key role in training biomedical scientists in data science and computational biology as well as leading a computational genomics research project studying transcriptional regulation in brain development.
You will hold a PhD, or be close to completion with thesis submitted, in computational biology or a biomedical subject with relevant computational experience. You will have experience and enthusiasm for developing and delivering training in computational biology / data science and have the ability to keep up with the latest advances in these areas (e.g. machine learning).
You will be experienced in working in a Linux command-line environment and be proficient in coding and data analysis in Python and R. The position is available fixed-term for 2 years, funded by the OBDS Training Programme.
