Our client a leading manufacturer in Leeds is seeking a Factory Operative to join its operations team. The company is renowned for its innovative contributions to the electrical power distribution industry.
The Role:
The Factory Operative will take on a range of responsibilities to support daily operations, including:
* Sanding, rubbing, and masking paintwork on transformers and other products.
* Preparing stencils and jigs, and painting markings on products.
* Using hand tools for various tasks.
* Adhering to quality processes and procedures to ensure high standards.
* Performing general housekeeping duties inside and outside the factory.
* Completing tasks within production targets and timelines.
* Collaborating with colleagues to meet operational goals.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and physically fit, with a flexible and proactive approach to work. While manufacturing experience is desirable, full training will be provided. Key attributes include:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A positive, ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work unsupervised.
* Willingness to adapt to different tasks across the factory as needed.
* Ideally, experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
