Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.02 an hour; this increases to £13.15 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

You will be responsible for
* Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
* Being passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
* Working across the store in our service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
* Putting into practice the training you have received, ensuring we work safely and effectively.
* Making decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet customer needs.
* Participating in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
* Being knowledgeable about your store’s performance and understanding your role in driving service and sales.
* Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
* Being yourself, living our values, making everyone feel welcome and following our policies.
* Accepting deliveries into the store as required.
You will need
* A passion for delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile.
* The ability to build rapport with customers.
* To take the initiative and make decisions that are right for our customers.
* Work well within a team and communicate openly.
* Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit.
* Be punctual, well-presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.
