Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Customer Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and services, ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze data effectively to optimize logistics processes.
This position will be based at our client's site in St Helens, Merseyside, 4 days a week, and at our Manchester office for 1 day a week. Applicants must be willing to travel to both sites.
Duties
1. Manage the end-to-end shipping process for exported goods, ensuring timely delivery to customers within agreed timeframes.
2. Escalate delays with internal departments to minimize disruptions and maintain customer satisfaction.
3. Accurately process intercompany and external customer orders in SAP, ensuring correct lead times, pricing, and customer details.
4. Handle sample order requests and ensure accurate processing as needed.
5. Maintain up-to-date SAP records with precise audit trails, documenting changes and communication with customers.
6. Support clients with returns, including arranging transportation, resolving issues, and updating the non-conformities database.
7. Prepare and produce all required export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, delivery notes, pro-forma invoices, certificates of origin, and goods movement documents, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
8. Maintain and update export registers and documentation for audit purposes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
9. Liaise with customers and suppliers to meet and exceed expectations during cargo movements.
10. Manage day-to-day client relationships, ensuring issues are promptly identified and resolved.
11. Actively participate in weekly operational calls with internal customers and suppliers, following up on actions and creating reports to address potential issues early.
12. Communicate variations to orders positively and update SAP records to ensure accuracy.
13. Investigate and resolve any complications related to the transport of exported goods.
