To support our continued commitment to our customers we are currently recruiting for an Internal Account Manager to join our hugely successful market leading International Road Logistics team based in Aston, Birmingham. As an Internal Road Logistics Account Manager you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and growing existing accounts. As part of your role you will have a designated size of portfolio in which you will have responsibility for managing against designated targets and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction
Your Responsibilities
1. Act as a conduit between the customer and all Kuehne + Nagel departments in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction providing the highest level of internal and external customer care.
2. Establishing relationships with decision makers and encouraging more opportunities from existing customers.
3. Record daily sales activity on branch boards
4. Monitor existing accounts trading patterns using an account tracker to ensure revenue and volumes are maintained
5. Prepare weekly/monthly reports for the branch manager to demonstrate activity and achievement against target
6. Maintain and grow business revenue, where there are opportunities, to achieve branch monthly sales targets
7. Maintain and increase the revenue of account base
8. To be responsible for own safety and health and that of colleagues; in accordance with company health and safety rules. Do not walk past a safety hazard or near miss; report it promptly
Your Skills and Experiences
9. Sound understanding of Freight Forwarding with strong technical forwarding knowledge and customer focus.
10. Demonstrate an ability to negotiate and influence others both internally and externally.
11. An understanding of how to influence the profitability from a customer.
12. Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
13. Have customer Service experience
14. Have proven experience of stakeholder management and networking to achieve results
15. Experience of working/managing existing customer portfolios/pipeline
16. Strong ability to convince and communicate
