An exciting opportunity has arisen for an apprentice to join the hardworking and dedicated administration team at Thanet Primary School. We are looking for a highly motivated and organised person who is willing to learn many aspects of school administration. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude to a very diverse workload and excellent communication skills. A confident approach to speaking to and supporting parents with their enquiries, together with assisting teaching staff and pupils with various situations is essential.
You will join a friendly, supportive and professional team dedicated to improving outcomes for children. The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional, able to work confidently and competently under pressure, and will have experience of working effectively within a team.
Duties include:Undertaking reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors.Providing routine clerical support e.g. photocopying, filing, emailing, completing forms.Being aware of and complying with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.Assisting with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.Training will be provided by a local provider and attendance at a city centre facility will be expected at least half a day a week within the working hours. Completion of all coursework is an expectation with support provided in school, leading to a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. Additional Information:
