The role: Our Assistant Commercial Manager will have 0verall team responsibility for researching new products and services, develop, and implement strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods and / or services across our UK wide network. They will monitor business trends, product availability and market influences to drive maximum supplier performance and strategic development. Assist with creation of procurement and supply chain strategy Creation and development of support documentation for the Commercial Department. Creation of supplier service level agreements Optimise ordering and reordering from suppliers Mitigate risks by managing supplier relationships Credible source for senior management support & influence. Maintain overall governance for supplier audit purposes. Supporting the Commercial Manager forecasting and aligning findings with supply chain management Research requirements, opportunities, trends, and developments in the sector Collaborate to improve supplier relationships and supplier performance Review and manage supplier Non-Compliance Consider environmental impact of the supply chain and sustainability targets Lead, develop and coach Commercial Team members Desirable qualifications and experience: Commercial education with business accreditations in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Contractual Law, Engineering, Economics, Applied Science, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in a buying function or supply chain desirable Proven ability to successfully manage diverse and remote teams desirable Highly analytical problem solver with an aptitude for figures. Ability to react quickly to an ever-changing industry sector. Self-motivated and driven to develop within the role.
