Childrens Residential Manager Location: Nottingham Hours: Full Time Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience and qualifications. To be consider for this role you will have the following experience & qualifactions: NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care, Children & Young People - Or willing to work towards (Terms and conditions apply) NVQ Level 3, Children & Young Persons Work Force 2 years' experience working in a Residential Children Home in the last 5 years and at least 1 year at senior level. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and standards Understanding of policies and procedures regarding the running of a children's home Extensive experience of working in an Emotional & Behavioral Disorders (EBD)/Learning Disabilities (LD) children's home environment Experience in a management role with strategic responsibilities Effective supervision and leadership skills Child and Adult DBS registered to the update Full UK Driving License Job Role: You will have significant experience with Ofsted inspections Ensure exceptional care and high-quality support for children and young people Create a safe and effective service, and contribute to the development and promotion. Be responsible for the line management of the Deputy Manager/s and Residential Support Workers within the service. Embed a culture of excellence, diligence and effectiveness in the care and support provided to children and young people. Ensure continuous improvement, enablement and co-production to work in partnership with and empower others. Ensure children's homes operate in compliance with organisational policies and procedures, relevant legislative, regulatory requirements and standards. Conduct regular team meetings, supervision and appraisals to monitor staff performance, identify training needs and ensure continuous professional development. Develop and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies - including Local Authorities, healthcare providers and educational institutions, to support the holistic development of children and young people. Oversee the development, implementation and review of relevant plans and Risk Assessments, and ensure they are tailored to meet the specific needs of each child and young personPromote a culture of safeguarding within children's homes, and ensure staff are trained and vigilant, in protecting children and young people from harm. Manage the budget for children's homes effectively, ensure the efficient use of resources, and the delivery of high-quality services within financial constraints.Implement performance management systems, to monitor and improve staff performance, and address any issues promptly and effectively.
