We are currently seeking a qualified General QTS Teacher to join an outstanding SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Wokingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is looking to make a real difference in the lives of students who require additional support to thrive academically.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging lessons in Food Technology, Art, and Science to students with SEMH needs.
* Develop and implement tailored learning strategies that support the individual needs of students.
* Create a safe and supportive classroom environment, fostering confidence and growth.
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing regular feedback and reporting to school leadership.
* Collaborate with the wider teaching team and SENCO to create individualisaed learning plans.
* Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and behaviour management.
About You:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching Food Technology, Art, and Science at secondary school level.
* Food Hygiene certification is required (or must be willing to complete training prior to starting).
* Strong understanding of SEMH and experience working with students with additional learning needs is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing the best possible educational experience for all students.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
