What are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates with the following:
* Customer Centric Attitude: Customer service is central to this role. You will be speaking to the customer on the phone before and at point of delivery.
* Physically Fit: This is a physical role therefore; candidates need to be physically fit and capable of lifting and moving awkward, substantial, and heavy loads throughout the day.
* IT Literate: Candidates must be IT literate and able to use a smartphone for completing the deliveries and collections.
* Communication Skills: People management skills are also beneficial due to the challenging nature of delivery to construction sites in sometimes limited time slots.
What will you be doing?
We deliver to construction sites across England and so you will repeatedly lift and move weighty, bulky items, safely, and carefully over a range of surfaces throughout your working day.
You will also be delivering to sites within London and other major cities, so will be dealing with all that city traffic entails, alongside a delivery schedule that is in line with the demanding time constraints that our customers expect from us.
You will also:
* Be the face of THX.
* Interact with customers on-site and ensure they’re satisfied.
* Take pride in being responsible for ensuring customers receive the hire equipment they have ordered on time and in a positive, friendly manner.
* Provide a positive customer experience.
* Ensure we meet our target of 98% on-time delivery.
* Resolve problems promptly, communicating with customers and colleagues as needed.
* Load and unload THX’s hire equipment using appropriate lifting equipment and manual handling techniques.
* Follow safe working processes while driving and loading/unloading.
What we would like to see:
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* A valid, clean UK driving license for manual vehicles.
* Familiarity with IT and navigation systems.
* Willing to work overtime, including ensuring all rounds are completed.
* Right to work in the UK.
What will you get in return?
THX is no ordinary workplace! In exchange for helping us do a great job and continue to grow our business, we offer a comprehensive rewards package and genuine career development opportunities.
Benefits include:
* Recharge with 25 Days Holiday (with Bank Holidays on top).
* Looking after your future with a Company Pension.
* Special recognition and rewards incentives.
* NO MORE PACKED LUNCHES: Enjoy access to our fully stocked kitchens, filled with snacks and treats to keep you fuelled throughout the day.
In addition:
* Up to £15 per hour.
* A vehicle for work use.
* Breakfast at Greggs: Our operatives get a Greggs card to help with those early starts!
* Uniform: Good quality PPE and uniform provided.
What else do you need to know about this role?
Before you apply, please take a moment to learn more about what is involved in being a THX Customer Delivery Operative and why THX really is no ordinary workplace.
* It is an early start but if you are a bit of an early bird then it will suit you down to the ground. And, a Greggs Breakfast always helps! Don’t forget, weekends and bank holidays are yours as this is a Mon-Fri position.
* It is a physically active role. Loading and offloading tools and equipment on-sites is physical work. But you’re out in the fresh air, and not tied to a desk.
* We can’t control the traffic. Heavy traffic can be frustrating and mean sometimes you may get back late; however, you will get paid overtime.
* The job can be challenging, but we have a fantastic support team and excellent processes in place to ensure your day is as efficient and productive as possible.
