Role Overview
As our Executive Legal Assistant to Head of Legal, you will be working closely with and playing a crucial role in supporting our Head of Legal. You will be handling key legal administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations of our legal team. We are looking for a friendly, proactive, organised and hardworking individual. You will need to be confident, have good people skills, and have a willingness to go above and beyond.
The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, exceptional organisation skills, an ability to prioritise workload, as well as an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This will be a busy but exciting role working within our legal team who will support you in your own development.
* Monitoring, reviewing and responding to emails, and extracting any work from emails to be added to our Head of Legal’s ‘to-do’ list.
* Managing our Head of Legal’s ‘to-do’ list/workstream, diarising/prioritising reminders of outstanding issues/tasks and ensuring that these are followed up.
* Attending regular meetings with our Head of Legal to discuss actions, priorities, expectations, and future planning.
* Extensive diary management, coordination of meetings and booking travel.
* Liaising with and acting as a key point of contact for other internal teams, as well as seeking updates on their current work and relaying these to our Head of Legal.
* Production of reports, such as those summarising important terms of our various legal contracts.
* Liaising with key external contacts and arranging electronic signature of agreed contracts, such as those relating to our celebrity endorsements, sponsorships, collaborations, and distribution.
* Managing paper and electronic filing.
* Additional ad-hoc administrative duties.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Criteria
* An LLB, or Bachelor of Laws degree or equivalent
Skills:
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and key external stakeholders.
* Excellent communication, written English and grammar skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other commonly used office applications.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
* Sound judgement and decision making/problem solving skills.
* The ability to take personal responsibility, and display discretion when dealing with confidential/sensitive information.
* The ability to work and collaborate effectively and efficiently within and with other teams.
* A confident and friendly manner with a sense of humour.
* A hard-working ethic and be able to meet deadlines.
* Have a keen interest in Legal and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
* Previous experience providing executive-level support
