As a Global Mobility & Direct Tax Specialist you will deliver an advisory service covering Taxation advice for overseas & direct taxation matters supporting all of the departments within the business.
Your role will cover both advisory and compliance activities to ensure the organisation is compliant and delivers relevant returns.
You will have a grasp of current legislation concerning overseas taxation matters and provide a forward-looking strategic approach to delivering this advice. You will keep up to date with new legislation through your own research and maintain relationships with external advisors.
We are looking for people with experience gained handling overseas taxation matters who could adapt into this role, we will consider people from a range of Direct Taxation backgrounds.
Your professional qualification status will not impact on the selection, ideally you would hold a CTA or ATT but we will consider people who are both part-qualified and qualified-by-experience.
Experience in overseas taxation is the key.
Your duties will include;
1. Principle contact of the Working Abroad team supporting all aspects of Global Mobility Tax and Social Security matters, you help teams prepare for recruitment activities and plan ahead.
2. You will achieve the best commercial and operational outcomes by identifying and evaluating overseas taxation structures to help with making effective decisions.
3. You will work with the Head of Global & Direct Tax to develop easy to use policies, your business partners will have access to these policy documents.
4. You will collect data Country By Country (CbyC), analyse this information and support the accuracy and compliance of submissions to HMRC.
We are looking for someone with the following experience, knowledge and credentials:
5. Ideally CTA or ATT Qualified however those who are part-qualified or qualified-by-experience will be welcomed.
6. We are looking for people with overseas taxation experience covering: Global Mobility, Private Client and Personal Taxation, Social Security, Corporate Tax, Non-Dom Status and other Taxation disciplines.
7. Communication skills are vital. You will work with stakeholders internally and business partner them, you will work with external advisors to harness their knowledge and learnings.
8. A commercial mind is important, the business needs to be compliant with legislation and delivers its obligations whilst maintaining a competitive edge.
