An enthusiastic chef is needed to bring a home cooked meal feel to our canteen. Meals should be ready for lunch service at 12pm-2pm and then dinner service from 4:30pm - 6pm. Key responsibilities include preparing and cooking food according to recipes, monitoring food quality, and ensuring adherence to quality expectations.
1. Main Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist whilst monitoring food quality.
* Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
* Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared and the portions that are served in order to ensure all staff are catered for and control food waste.
* Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager.
* Maintain high standards of internal customer satisfaction whilst ensuring the food cost is kept in line with approved budgets.
2. Requirements:
* Chef de partie level
* Diploma or degree from accredited university in culinary arts or NVQ or related major
* At least 2 years experience in a similar position
