Are you a qualified nurse looking to take a new step in your nursing career?
We are seeking compassionate people with experience of working in a neonatal environment to join our integrated trust.
This opportunity is for Neonatal Nurses all across Somerset. The role is based at Musgrove Park Hospital; however, you may have the opportunity to work at Yeovil District Hospital.
As a fully integrated trust, we can offer a collaborative approach to your career with us, meaning there would be opportunities to rotate across sites to ensure your skills and knowledge are as broad as they possibly can be.
We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis, which does include nights and weekends. We have full-time and part-time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a teamwork approach, and be able to provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.
This advert is open to registered nurses.
Main duties of the job
* To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence-based, patient-centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whilst reflecting the philosophy of care.
* To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of parents/carers by using a Family Integrated Care strategy.
* As an experienced Band 6, you will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based nursing care.
About us
As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, fantastic pension contributions, market-leading annual leave allowance, career progression, and regular conversations, not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone's throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath, and Exeter, and only two hours away from London. There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable. You will experience the best of both in Somerset, the countryside and the cosmopolitan -- there is truly something for everyone!
