About the Role:
* You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 English, covering literature, language, and creative writing.
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that help students develop their literacy skills, while fostering a love of reading and writing.
* Support students in preparing for their GCSE exams, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel confident in expressing themselves and developing their critical thinking.
* Collaborate with a dedicated team of teachers to contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
* Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to support students’ personal growth and engagement with English.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A Degree in English (or a related subject).
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 English, with a strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum.
* A passion for nurturing a love of literature and language in students of all abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to teaching.
