Management Accountant - Leeds - £35,000 to £40,000 - Hybrid with study support. Confidence and excellent communication skills are essential as you will work closely with senior management delivering ad-hoc analysis in a business partnering capacity. A solid accounting background is required as are strong analytical skills in order to investigate, understand and explain variances and overall business performance. THE JOB: Preparation of the monthly management accounts Accruals, prepayments and P & L analysis Report on variances Review all balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations. Manage intercompany recharges and balances. Preparation of the monthly finance pack, providing insightful commentary for internal stakeholders Leading month end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets. Business partnering with internal stakeholders, attending regular meetings to review budgets, variances and guidance. Supporting and leading on any systems and process improvements Assist with group reporting. Support the Financial Controller and CFO with ad hoc projects. Support year end Audit and VAT reporting. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS /SKILLS: Part qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA, ACA) Experience within Management Accountants Relevant experience in a similar role Strong technical, analytic, and reporting skills Excellent IT skills (advanced knowledge of Excel essential) Accurate and attention to detail Able to meet deadlines.
