Role Description:
This is a challenging opportunity to work as a Nuclear Safety Case Author and Expert on high-profile projects at BAE Systems. You will be responsible for deterministic nuclear safety assessment and authoring nuclear safety cases for build and commission of Dreadnought and future class submarines.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed safety assessments and develop comprehensive safety cases for submarine construction projects.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.
3. Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
4. A degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, physics, or a related discipline).
5. Significant experience in nuclear safety assessment and safety case development.
6. Knowledge of UK nuclear regulations and industry standards (e.g., HSE, AEA).
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
