About The Role
As our Senior Depot Supervisor, you will work closely with the Transport Manager and the Depot Team to ensure that our depot runs smoothly and that each one of our customers receive their appliance on time, every time.
You will be a main point of contact for our Drivers and play a crucial part in, boosting the morale of our existing drivers, alongside welcoming new drivers and promoting positive teamwork, all with an incredible support system to set you up for success. We are a high-performing team and look forward to welcoming someone who is ready to learn and develop along the way.
1. Salary: £30,760.00 per annum
2. Hours: Monday- Friday (37.5 hours per week)
3. Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
4. Location: Weston Road, Crewe, CW1 6NA
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
5. Monitor delivery performance throughout the day
6. Support training for new starters to include Safe Systems of Work and Health and Safety
7. Ensure that all employees are complying with the training that they have received to provide a safe working environment for everyone
8. Briefing team daily/weekly on key priorities and workload
9. Supervising the team and allocating tasks and priorities
10. Communicate with our Drivers, handling any queries efficiently and in a professional manner
11. Liaise with our vehicle management unit, subcontractors and Drivers completing in-house reports to provide data required by the Regional Manager and Head Office on a daily basis
12. Assist with internal audits
13. Support with damage to property, vehicle damage and product damage ad hoc training/retraining
14. Operational support as and when needed
A Few Things About You
15. CPC qualification is desirable
16. Understanding of transport legislation and logistics operation
17. Able to build lasting, effective relationships with people around you even under pressure and in difficult situations
18. React quickly to information, and can find solutions to any issues independently
19. Good communication skills both verbally and written
20. Competent use of Microsoft, particularly Excel
21. Have a passion for delivering the service we promise to customers
22. Able to lead, inspire and motivate others
23. Confident in a fair and consistent approach to people management
