Job Summary
Ravenwood Hall is an Independent hotel, restaurant & function venue set in the countryside just outside the busy historic town of Bury St Edmunds. The hotel prides itself on delivering high standards of food and customer service within a comfortable atmosphere to dine, drink and sleep. The hotel has 14 bedrooms, restaurant, bar and an external pavilion that can cater for 130 guests.
We are looking for a Chef de Partie to join our team. We have a busy operation with many conferences, private dinners, party nights, weddings and much more, that run alongside our busy hotel. The menus are based around home cooked produce to create traditional classics together with exciting and innovative dishes. Experience in a similar establishment is preferred, and a knowledge of preparing, and serving, for banquets and weddings would be beneficial.
You will be organised and flexible to our business needs. In addition you will need to be aware of hygiene regulations.

Duties
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
2. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety standards are adhered to.
4. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
5. Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
6. Help maintain equipment and kitchen tools in good working order.
7. Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and preparation.
Skills
1. Proficient in food preparation techniques with a solid understanding of culinary practices.
2. Experience working in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for meal preparation.
4. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
5. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a busy kitchen setting.
6. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests.
